Who's making a difference?

Mission and Programs:
Inspired by several historical periods, the Museum's installations employ the concepts and techniques of twenty-first century art and technology while reflecting the diverse collections of natural artifacts and human achievements housed in the museums of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. What emerges is a quietly disorienting world at once familiar yet unfamiliar to the viewer, a world that gently guides the viewer into the mysteries of thought, perception, and interpretation. The Museum adheres to a twofold mission, with the goal of leading audiences to new understandings of the human potential to create and innovate through illusory installations that reflect the aesthetics and practices of early museums, as well as the exhibition of mature artists who have remained unrecognized due to the unusual nature of their artwork and ideas.
